At "SG Home Office", we believe that COVID-19 has made good jobs hard to come by for many self-employed individuals and small businesses in Singapore. While the virus could be here to stay for a long period, albeit temporary, the future of work is inevitable. Unfortunately, many self-employed individuals and small businesses are left behind, or worse still, they may have fallen through the cracks. During this economic uncertainty, we have also witnessed the impact on jobs among fresh graduates, PMETs, and homemakers including single parents, just to name a few. On the other hand, many self-employed individuals and small businesses simply do not have the resources to market their products and/or services effectively while adapting to a 'new normal' at the same time.
The changing business landscape and business environment have also accelerated dramatically. One remarkable trend is home-based businesses, especially applicable now with work-from-home and easy access to the gig economy for talents.
This is why we (volunteers from all walks of life) have started this work-from-home network & business ecosystem. Regardless of whether you are a seasoned entrepreneur or a long-term employee of a company, a graduating student or a soon-to-be retiree, as long as you work from home, we welcome all of you.
